Our Church History

 

Christ Healing Temple Church Inc. Is an Apostolic Holy Ghost filled church. We move and operate under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. We had our humble beginnings when our Pastor Bishop Parker along with Evangelist Tanisha Parker following the lead of the voice of God founded J.W. Parker Ministries in the dining room of their home at 682 Lake Ave in Rochester NY. We began with eight adults and one child and rapidly began to grow, and, grow, and, grow. We packed over sixty-Five people in what had to be a very small place. We experienced an Azusa street Holy Ghost move. One time we shouted and praised God so hard that the dining room began to sink in. Bishop Parker and Deacon John Quick had to go to the basement and raise the floor back to its normal level. One Sunday we went into such a high praise until a couple of members went on the front porch shouting and praising God, until the traffic was backed up on Lake Ave watching the saints of God.

 

In 2007 we changed the name of the church to Christ Healing Temple Church inc. and later moved to a new location at 130 White St. Our church really began to grow! We were blessed to have an awesome choir and gifted musicians. Our Youth Department began to grow and multiply in numbers. On several occasions the youth and the men department would volunteer there services in the community, receiving honor from the leadership of the city.

 

In September of 2012 we moved to our current location, 875 E. Main St, where again we experienced the outpour of the Holy Ghost. At this writing we are moving into our new sanctuary which will accommodate over 350 people. We are truly blessed by God to have such an outstanding Pastor in the person of Bishop Dr. John W. Parker, who is committed to, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
